On Saturday evening, Buddu emerged victorious, clinching their third Masaza Cup title in an intense battle against Kyaggwe at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole. It was a thrilling scene as fans filled the stadium, celebrating the return of the Masaza Cup to this iconic venue for the first time since 2019. The game drew an enthusiastic crowd, with Buddu supporters cheering in full force as they anticipated yet another title for their teamThe game’s defining moment came early, in the 22nd minute. Buddu’s forward, Mike Walaga, perfectly positioned himself to meet a skillful cross from captain Pius Ssebulime. Walaga’s precise header left Kyaggwe’s goalkeeper, Peter “Dhaira” Katongole, with no chance, sending the ball into the back of the net and igniting a roar from Buddu fans across the stands.
